“NIXIE”
Meaning Water Spirit/Nymph in German Folklore
Nixie is the foundation female of our Wire-Haired Dachshund program. She is a standard Wire-Haired Dachshund, color classified as “wild boar”.
We imported her from Rauhaardackel vom Sulzschlag, FCI in Muhlhausen, Germany in October of 2022. She is from working teckel bloodlines. Born and bred to hunt, track and trail.
Nixie knows no stranger, dog or human. She is super friendly social and outgoing. She is fast, loves to run and especially chase the cats. She enjoys car rides, going out to new places and exploring the woods!
Nixie is tenacious! She is always trailing scent. She loves racing out to the woods leaving us in the dust to chase down her next prey!

“LILY”
Lily is what is known as a “recessive wire”; this means even though she is a smooth coat, she carries the gene to produce wire hair puppies. She is a standard dachshund, color classified as “black & tan”. Lily is 22 pounds.
Lily is co-owned with Tracey Lancaster of Lowdown Dachs.
Lily is fiercely loyal to her people! She is smart, enthusiastic, and headstrong! It’s usually Lily’s world and we all live in it and if we don’t, she will have something to say about it.
Lily has great prey drive and lives for the kill! She loves barn hunt! Lily shows in the ring and has multiple Winner’s Bitch placements and reserve placements!

- Lily earned her AKC Trick Novice title (TKN) in June 2025

Usonia Lowdown v TLWHD Woods Whisper Secrets
“SKADI”
Skadi (pronounced “Scottie”) is the Nordic Goddess of Bowhunting. She also represents winter and the wilderness.
Skadi is our keeper female out of our breeding of Silas: Ex Animo’s WHD Dynamic Hunter of the Forest (Novami Goodness Gracious SW x Ex Animos WHD Biotonic Bean) and our co-own female Lily: Usonia The Hard Way Everytime v Lowdown (GCHP CH Usonia The Shores of Normandy v Lowdown x GCHG CH Usonia’s Cherokee Maiden v Lowdown BCAT). She is a Standard Wire-Haired Dachshund, color classified as “wild boar”.
Skadi is already proving to be forward, outgoing, and fearless! We have goals for her to compete in dachshund field trials. barn hunt, shed hunt and more!
We are so excited to watch her grow!
